Frequently asked questions

Which files can I open?

PDF files and images: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, BMP and SVG. HEIC photos show their details; whether they display depends on your browser.

Can it show where a photo was taken?

Yes, if the photo has location data. The details panel shows the coordinates and a link to a map. Use Remove metadata to take the location out before sharing.

Can I open files with it from my computer?

Yes. Install Weseth Tools as an app, then choose it in "Open with" for PDF and image files.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your own browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to a server, so nobody else can see or keep them.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit the tools keep working without an internet connection. You can also install Weseth Tools as an app from your browser.
